“Before I got loc extensions, I really wish I knew that…”
You can insert entire book full of things after that statement, but in my experience there are 4 things that everyone seems to mention. The expensive installation cost, the type of hair that should be used, the difference between faux locs and permanent loc extensions, and what to expect during the locking process. So during the most recent “Q&A With A Loctician” live videocast I explained the loc extension process. We talked about those 4 common regrets and also a few other things to consider when you’re deciding if they are really worth it for you.

My son and I both have a little build up a, but we wash our hair often; every two weeks. We keep our hair covered but I still see it. I’ve done detoxing with apple cider vinegar and baking soda but I still see it. It’s not a lot but it’s definitely there.

Hi Asia! I know that can be frustrating, and for me that was one of the reasons why I started to look at locs under a microscope to really identify the type of buildup the was present. Also, just FYI, apple cider vinegar and baking soda together is definitely a no-no for detoxing. I talked about detoxes in this article,Frequently Asked Questions About Detoxing Locs , I think it is worth a read in your situation.
