I can’t believe it’s been three months since my little one was born, let alone almost a year since he was conceived! I will tell you that the saying about hair growth during pregnancy is real!
The morning I got confirmation that we were pregnant, because I felt like I already knew, I dyed my hair black and installed Marley Twists. The main reason I colored my hair was to prevent having to maintain its violet hue during the pregnancy because they say you should avoid all chemical services while with child. I followed that rule mostly until about 8 months pregnant when I bleached and colored my undercut.
Fast forward to today, almost a year later, having recently dyed my locs jet black using the SheaMoisture Hair Color System, you can definitely see the growth and maturity of my locs. *Fingers Crossed* I have passed the mark for postpartum alopecia, which typically starts 3 months postpartum, because I have not seen any excessive shedding or thinning.
